We’re now accepting a few people to help us trial the server.
Safety is a Modded Survival server that will open fully later this summer. It’s currently running Redpower 2 and IndustrialCraft 2 - we’d like to add RailCraft as well. It’s whitelisted - applications will have to show somehow that you’re a mature player with a creative streak and the ability to install Forge-compatible mods.
The Tower of Safety (pictured above) provides free portals to the Mining and Nether worlds, and some basic machinery for noobs who have not scraped enough copper together to get their own. Monsters never spawn within Safety’s walls, but there are some strict building codes there, so players can choose to “live in Safety” and stick to the rules, or rough it out in the Wilderness and build whatever they like.
Apart from the high tech mods, Safety will be proper Survival, with no free lunches - no warp, /home, /tp or any other lazy commands. You want teleportation? You have to build and power your own IC2 teleporter network. Want to fly? Craft a jetpack. Thinking about cheating with X-ray? Avoid being banned and craft a legitimate OD Scanner.If you are interested, can behave like a grown-up, and are a good builder, then check out our new forum.
